Who we are.
Oak Tree Investments is a European investment firm based in Copenhagen, Denmark. We focus on long-term opportunities across emerging and transforming markets, with a strategic emphasis on the Middle East — particularly Lebanon and Syria.
We are, deliberately, a firm with a narrow focus rather than a broad one. We would rather understand a small number of markets deeply than spread our attention across many. That focus shapes how we source opportunities, how we structure our involvement, and how we think about time.
We do not claim a long institutional history, and we are candid about that. What we offer instead is a clear mandate, a disciplined approach to capital, and a genuine commitment to the markets we have chosen to focus on.
Our Philosophy
Value is built, not timed.
We believe long-term value is created through operational improvement, patient capital and genuine local partnership — not through timing short-term price movements or relying on speculative narratives.
Every opportunity we evaluate is assessed on its underlying fundamentals: real demand, sound governance, a credible operating plan, and a partner we trust to execute it. Where those elements are present, we are prepared to commit capital for the years it takes to realise them.
Long-Term Perspective
We measure success in years.
Transformational markets do not move on a fixed schedule. Infrastructure takes years to build. Institutions take years to mature. Businesses take years to scale. We structure our capital, and our expectations, to match that reality rather than fight it.
This means we are selective about the opportunities we pursue, and patient once we have committed to them. We are not a source of short-term liquidity, and we do not position ourselves as one.

Operating from Copenhagen gives us a European vantage point on markets that are often viewed, from a distance, through a narrow or outdated lens. We aim to bring the governance standards, transparency expectations and long-term thinking associated with European institutional capital to the markets we invest in.
At the same time, we recognise that a European perspective is only useful when paired with genuine regional understanding — which is why local partnership sits at the centre of how we work.
